Ludhiana Personality :: Mohinder Singh Bhogal
S. Mohinder Singh Bhogal was born on 18 January 1927 at Jabalpur. MP. The names of his parents were S. Karam Singh & Smt Kartar Kaur repectively. He did his schooling from Bheelowal Bassi Kalan Distt Hoshirpur. After seventh class he joined his father’s work. But he also continued his studies. He did Budhimani and upgraded himself in Gyani.
Mohinder Singh Bhogal has a firm belief from his past experience that “Work is worship”. His advice to the young is that they must develop the habit of hard work right from the beginning. He also feels that every individual must learn to work with his own hands and acquire some practical skill. This serves him from dependence on others, apart from enabling him help the needy
He believes that Punctuality is the best habit to acquire. It saves a man from mental tension and brings him calmness of temper. The punctual never gets worsted in life. Mohinder Singh Bhogal established the parent company “Bhogal Sons” In 1948. The story of the progress which S. Mohinder Singh made as a guiding spirit of the Bhogals, starting from scratch to the establishment of Bhogal Sons and its sister concerns, is infect the story of the industrial revolution of the Punjab. Under the guidance of S.M.S. Bhogal the company has continue his expansions as per the requirement of the time. In 1960 “Indian Turn mat” is established in 1964 “Bhogal sales corp.” In 1973 “Bhogals Pvt. Ltd” In 1987 “Bhogal export”
On 22 December 1982, he established Vishvakarma Foundation as a founder president. The foundation had marked his presence in the city while constructing a monument Vishvakaram Chowk that is landmark in the city. Vishvkarma foundation has published some valuable and informative books also. Mohinder Singh Bhogal is member of many other societies he has been getting and still holds many honours and offices in the local as well as state level organization. Mohinder Singh Bhogal is a heart beat of the city Ludhiana. His attractive personality, soft-spoken and helpful nature gives an unforgettable impression. Under the able guidance and farsighted nesses the bhogal has got many award of national and international repute.
He got married to Smt. Mohinder Kaur Devgun in 1945. The couple is blessed with two sons and two daughters.
