Knitwear Club Ludhiana gave a presentation about its project Knitwear Bhawan

Knitwear Club, Ludhiana gave a presentation about its forthcoming project Knitwear Bhawan at Ludhiana. Speaking on the occasion, club president Vinod K. Thapar appreciated the efforts of the management of Gold Souk for the concept of the proposed project. He hoped that the project would be very beneficial for knitwear/textile industry. Adding, Thapar said the project would provide a joint platform where all the industry needs would be provided under one roof.

He said the proposed project would contain several facilities such as deluxe hotel, commercial space for wholesalers and club and service apartments under a single umbrella that would cater to both the local and international entrepreneurs. Thapar revealed that an exhibition hall would also be built under the project. "Our wholesalers are functioning from narrow areas where buyers find it difficult to reach and to select the merchandise, and therefore it's an excellent opportunity for business centre," he said. He said a vocational centre would also be set up in the premises of Knitwear Bhawan with an added facility of 24-hours power back up along with parking space, courier facility and proper security.

A large number of traders and manufacturers from the industry concerned were present at the presentation. The leaders of Knitwear Club congratulated all the management committee members of Gold Souk which included Amit Gupta, Gaurav Gupta, Pradeep Seth, Saurabh Verma and Anant Arora. The District Industries Centre, Ludhiana, general manager Vishav Bandhu was the guest of honour. S. S. Bedi, Assistant Director, MSME Development Institute, Ludhiana was also present.
