Members of the Auto Manufacturers Parts Manufacturers Association strongly condemned the recent notification of the Punjab government

  

Members of the Auto Manufacturers' Parts Manufacturers' Association held a meeting. Association president Gurpargat Singh Kahlon said, "Day-by-day, the auto parts manufacturing industry in Punjab is facing various prob- lems created by the Central and the state governments due to which, this sector has become highly uncompetitive and unviable. Instead of providing any relief, the state gov- ernment is working against this sector."

The members strongly condemned the recent notification of the Punjab government to impose 5 per cent electricity duty on the power gener- ated by generators for captive use.
