Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology Ludhiana gifted laptops

  

Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT) gifted laptops to its 60 students of MCA (Ist year) free-of-cost.
GNIMT took the initiative in the wake of last year's result as the institute could only manage fifth position in MCA while the previous year, it had got gold medal. The director of the institute Dr (Col) HS Sangha said the students would benefit a lot from laptops as most of their practical assignments required them to use computers. The students who were upbeat about this gesture of the institute said they would now be better equipped to study the practical aspects of the curricullum.

GNIMT spent Rs 18 lakh to buy the laptops having configureation of 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Disk, DVD Combo-drive with Dual Core processor. Each laptop cost the institute nearly Rs 28,000.
