Satluj Hospital, Ludhiana
The Satluj Hospital has the distinction of the first corporate hospital of Punjab and started working in June 1997. It ushered a new era of healthcare in the state when senior & eminent doctors of Ludhiana with their vast experience with the help of financial institutions established the first super specialty and trauma care center in the state.
With the ever-increasing number of vehicles on the roads and hi-tech machines being used in farms and industry for better yields, accidents have become commonplace and so is trauma, which is fast catching up with coronary diseases for being the largest killer of world population.
This was the first hospital to dedicate itself to traumatology. As we know that trauma management requires team approach and essential experts, like neuro surgery, orthopaedic surgeon, plastic surgeon, micro vascular and vascular surgeon, general surgeon and intensive critical care experts, the strategy should also be backed by state of the art diagnostic equipment and laboratory services. Today Satluj Hospital is one of the very few hospitals in Punjab to have excellent team of such professionals and services under one roof.
It is a 60-bed hospital housed in spacious building with serene surroundings and is strategically located. Three main roads can approach it and there is no obstruction for transport of critical patients. It is the first non-institutional hospital to have fully equipped Burns Unit laminar flow and isolation chambers.
