Communication in Ludhiana
With city limits expanding time and again, communication and travel ought to have been difficult, but Ludhiana springs a surprise. Easy to travel and even get connected to near and dear ones back home, this is a perfect city to live in! Especially when you are away from home.

With students and corporate all catching e-mail and e-business alike, a number of cyber cafes have sprung up all over town. Ludhiana holds about 400+ cyber cafes. Areas of Old City, Ghumar Mandi, Model Town, Sarabha Nagar have cyber cafes in every street. The rates range from as low as Rs 10 to Rs 60. Be sure to inquire about the rates and also coffee as many give you a cup free with one hour of surfing.
Also most cyber cafes will allow you to use their software to prepare office documentation or presentation at nominal costs. Colour printouts, scanning, and even video conferencing facilities are offered by a lot of cyber cafes. Besides, most of these cyber cafes are air-conditioned, provide good and efficient service and are extremely polite! Now days, Reliance web world & Sify Online are also becoming very popular among Ludhianvis.
Mobiles : Covered by the best of mobile service brands in India Airtel, Spice, Reliance, Hutch, Tata Indicom, Connect, Cell One, the city is also widely networked and is a hotbed for communication services! While connectivity is usually good except for in basement discotheques and pubs, both brands suit the pocket and the purpose.
