As Per Notification No. 5/58/2002/IIB/1518 Dated 29th May, 2003 of Government of Punjab Department of Industries & Commerce, to facilitate the development of Industry in the State, Government of Punjab have notified the "Industrial Policy-2003” vide No. 5/58/2002/IIB/968 dated: 26-03-2003, which inter-alia provides for Certification of Boilers Act, 1923 by Chartered Engineers. Now, therefore I humbly draw your kind attention that I am a registered Chartered Engineer and authorized to carry out the inspection of boilers and Economisers in industrial units of the state of Punjab as per Indian Boiler act 1923 vide Punjab Govt. Notification No. 5/58/2002/IIB/5110 dated 29-05-2003. I have been authorized to exercise powers and discharge duties of Inspector in accordance with section 5 of this act. Registration of new boilers will be carried out under the section 7 of Indian Boiler Act 1923, however renewal of the certificate will be carried out in the manner as prescribed under IBR 1950. It is mandatory for Industries to get pass their Boilers. In the light of above, you are requested to send your enquiries along with details of boilers and Economisers, their heating surface before the expiry of the last fitness certificate. For your record and reference, I have attached herewith the copy of License.
